Each school day one of the penguins is designated to watch over the school, and this is his moment to shine – for each rascal penguin he catches he would get additional fish!

Genuine sufferers should probably avoid this one

Genuine sufferers should probably avoid this one

A quick tongue and fast thought are required for this simple game. Their card (flower) has a matching symbol to yours (superhero) so can you blurt out "Batman!" before they manage to say "Poppy"? The winner collects the other player's card and potentially reveals matches to cards elsewhere on the table starting another race to find the right word.

Create new spacecraft, develop now technology, then claim the Alien Frontier

The game has a great 1950s Sci-Fi feel with wonderful art and components and a board including areas like Asimov Crater and Herbert Valley. At its core this is a worker placement game using dice as spacecraft to activate any of the stations surrounding the moon you're all attempting to colonize. Highly interactive and with lots of options each turn, this game encourages strategic thinking.

The only things you don't get are Indie's whip and fedora!

Adventurers is a fun push-your-luck game with an Indiana Jones feel. You are adventurers fighting your way through the temple of Chac to grab the treasure, and get out alive! Avoid the giant rolling stone, navigate across the booby-trapped pit of lava and make your way across the ancient rickety bridge whilst planks around you fall into the bottomless pit. Grab the most artefacts and get out alive to claim victory.

Arg, oh right... no I've got it - its the thing with the stuff... you know, the thing with the stuff!?!

A fun team party game, which is quick and simple to play.  The idea is to describe as many words as possible to your team-mates in just 30 seconds, without saying ‘rhymes with’ or ‘sounds like’. A great game for those new to board games, or preferring something more casual.

Loyal servant of Arthur, or villainous Minion of Mordred? That is the vital question...

If you enjoy deception games, you will love Avalon. You will play the role of King Arthur's knights seeking the holy grail. You will go on missions in groups and will need three successful missions to win. Sounds easy right? Unfortunately some people will secretly be trying to fail the missions, as they are the evil minions or Mordred. The minions of Mordred need to fail three missions in order to win. Merlin will know who the minions are, but cannot be too obvious in his accusations as the minions have an assassin! If the minions are not able to fail three missions, they can also win by assassinating Merlin. It can be played time and time again, and is one of our favourite games.

Beautifully made components and really getting you into the theme

A supernatural themed game by Flying Frog Productions. Play the role of heroes searching around the town of Shadowbrook to find the villains lair and defeat the big bad! The game has many different scenarios to play and can be played as a competitive or cooperative game. Classic horror film tropes are explored with villains such as the Werewolf, Scarecrow and Banshee. And as this is a Flying Frog game, the board and pieces are beautifully made to a high quality.
